2025's First Global Startup Demo Day: Expanding Global Innovation in Healthcare and Tech

i2i hosted the first Global Startup Demo Day of 2025 on January 16.

Building on the IP2 Launchpad program’s goal of connecting local and international startup ecosystems, this event broadened the global network by inviting 7 startups from Canada, Japan, Korea, and India.

The focus covered AI, ICT, Fintech, and medical biotechnology.

• Mt. Fuji Innovation Engine in Japan

• Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (DCCEI) in Korea

• Cisco (India)

This Demo Day provided a platform for these startups to introduce their latest products and solutions.

i2i invited IP2 Review Board advisors, senior executives from well-known companies, and industry experts to offer guidance and help participants connect with the Taiwan market and explore cross-border collaboration opportunities.

According to i2i Chairman Gary Gong, the continued support from all advisors and guests has been essential to the success of the Launchpad acceleration programs, which help bring international innovation and entrepreneurship to Taiwan, nurturing a more diverse startup ecosystem.

During the event’s opening ceremony, Terry Hsiao (right in photo)—President of the Monte Jade Washington DC and a serial entrepreneur in Silicon Valley—gave remarks on extending support for the Scale Out acceleration program, aiming to help promising Taiwanese startups enter the U.S. East Coast market.

This year, Mr. Hsiao will also serve as the host of i2i’s “American Advisory Committee,” working to establish a bilateral dialogue mechanism between Taiwan and the U.S. and to expand overseas bases for Taiwanese startups.
