On December 4, a delegation from CzechInvest—an official investment agency under the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade—visited the Nankang Software Incubation Center operated by i2i.
Accompanied by industry partners and Mario Chen (Customer Manager, Taiwan-Europe Business Division, ISTI at ITRI), the delegation met with the i2i team.
Their visit aimed to promote mutual understanding of the startup ecosystems in both regions and to identify possible avenues for collaboration by sharing each side’s business models and future strategies.
During the discussion, i2i introduced Taiwan’s rapidly growing startup environment, including its accelerator support models, connections to prominent local corporates and investors, and approaches for expanding into international markets.
They also highlighted two signature annual acceleration programs:
The "IP² Launchpad Program," designed to help international startups establish a foothold in Taiwan.
The "IP² Scale Out Program," created to support Taiwanese startups as they venture into global markets.
These programs serve as a bridge linking Taiwan with the world’s startup ecosystems and fostering shared innovation and growth.
The CzechInvest delegation included:
David Pejšek, Director of Investment & Financing Department
Matous Kostlivy, Director for Taiwanese Operations
Petr Kotrs, Director of Foreign Activities Department
Roman Kodet, Senior Project Manager & Sourcing Team
The delegation emphasized that the Czech Republic, as a key gateway to Central Europe, provides a strong manufacturing base, robust R&D capabilities, and a well-established network of venture funding and support. This makes it an excellent launchpad for Asian startups seeking to enter the European market.
CzechInvest has a long history of facilitating international business exchanges and helping startups tap into European opportunities. Through this visit to i2i, they hope that Taiwan and the Czech Republic can leverage their complementary strengths, explore new partnerships, and create a win-win scenario on the global stage.
