i2i has launched the 2024 IP2 Scale Out Program to help Taiwanese startups enter the U.S. market, fostering collaboration opportunities between Taiwan and the United States.
On June 21, i2i Chairman Gary Gong invited Deputy Director General Wu Chia-Ying of the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, to lead a delegation to New York. They visited the Investment and Trade Office at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States, meeting with Deputy Director-General Hans Chang to discuss resources for industry connections in the U.S. East Coast.
The delegation took a commemorative photo with Deputy Director-General Hans Chang (fourth from the right).
The Investment and Trade Office has long supported i2i in expanding its presence and fostering economic and startup development on the U.S. East Coast. It has previously collaborated with i2i, guiding promising Taiwanese startups to the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to explore business development and investment opportunities in New York. This office has been a crucial ally in advancing Taiwan's economic and trade interests in the region.
This meeting was organized with the assistance of Director Yeh Scott and Economic Secretary Chandler Hsieh. Building on a strong foundation of past cooperation, the office will continue its efforts to promote Taiwan-U.S. economic and trade collaboration.
The delegation took a group photo in the lobby of the representative office.
