i2i Leads Taiwanese Startups to Choose New Jersey to Explore International Market Opportunities

On June 14, with the assistance of Chandler Hsieh, Economic Secretary at the Investment and Trade Office of Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO), i2i led ten Taiwanese startups participating in this year's IP2 Scale Out New York program to visit Choose New Jersey.

During the visit, they met with Andrew Gross, Director of International Innovation Partnerships at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and Rena Sherman, Director of Research and Strategic Partnerships at Choose New Jersey. The discussions focused on understanding New Jersey's strategic advantages and investment environment, providing valuable insights for Taiwanese startups aiming to expand their international operations and establish a presence on the U.S. East Coast.

On June 14, the i2i team, accompanied by this year's IP2 Scale Out Taiwanese startups, visited Choose New Jersey. They were welcomed by Andrew Gross, Director of International Innovation Partnerships, and Rena Sherman, Director of Research and Strategic Partnerships. Through presentations, the Taiwanese startups were introduced to New Jersey's geographical advantages and business-friendly environment, fostering a productive dialogue.

New Jersey's proximity to Newark International Airport and Manhattan, along with its rich industrial resources, make it an attractive location for international businesses. Similar to the i2i-operated Taiwan Startup Terrace, Choose New Jersey has long supported local SMEs and startups to build a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Additionally, Choose New Jersey's establishment of the Asia-Pacific Center in Taipei on May 29 underscores its commitment to fostering economic cooperation between the Asia-Pacific region and New Jersey.

This visit was part of the IP2 Scale Out New York program, co-launched by i2i and the American accelerator EntreCamp. The program aims to help Taiwanese startups enter the U.S. market, gain global exposure, and inject new vitality into Taiwan's economic development.
