LPT and Mt. Fuji Innovation Engine Visit i2i to Explore 2025 Collaborations

In a continued effort to foster the growth of the international startup ecosystem and promote collaboration between industry, government, academia, and research in Taiwan, two major Japanese accelerators—Landing Pad Tokyo (LPT) and Mt. Fuji Innovation Engine—visited i2i on November 26.

The delegation, joined by three Japanese startups eager to expand into the Taiwanese market (Ecows, SchooMy, and Reservency), explored i2i's plans for international startup collaboration in 2025 and discussed potential avenues for deeper bilateral partnerships.

This meeting also included the participation of TCMC (Taiwan Carbon Materials Corporation), one of the standout startups from this year’s IP2 Scale Out Program. TCMC's founder Chrry Lin shared insights and results from their successful expansion into the U.S. market, underscoring the program’s impact.

Expanding Taiwan-Japan Collaboration: Forging Cross-Border Partnerships

As long-term partners of i2i, Landing Pad Tokyo and Mt. Fuji Innovation Engine play a crucial role in facilitating the entry of Japanese startups into Taiwan’s market while fostering collaboration with Taiwanese businesses and supply chains.

This delegation was led by Mr. Kato, Executive Director of LPT, and Mr. Toda, Representative of Mt. Fuji Innovation Engine, and included three diverse Japanese startups:
  • Ecows: Focused on agricultural technology, Ecows develops smart solutions to boost efficiency in the agricultural sector.

  • SchooMy: An education technology company offering innovative solutions to enhance learning experiences and practical outcomes. SchooMy has already established initial collaborations between Taiwan and Japan.

  • Reservency: Specializing in travel technology, Reservency combines location-based systems with language translation services to improve the user experience.

Both SchooMy and Reservency have previously participated in i2i’s Demo Day and connected with Taiwanese companies to explore collaboration opportunities.

Upcoming Demo Day on January 16, 2025

During the visit, i2i introduced the Japanese delegation to Taiwan’s vibrant startup ecosystem and the latest developments across various industries.

Discussions with LPT and Mt. Fuji Innovation Engine also focused on plans for the coming year, including preparations for the next Demo Day, scheduled for January 16, 2025.

This event will continue to strengthen cross-border collaboration by creating platforms for international startups and Taiwanese companies to exchange market insights and resources, opening doors to more business opportunities in both markets.
